| The
neighborhood fashion boutiques are lush with fashions for the fall. Barbara Lym,
owner of Serendipity Boutique in East Sacramento, tells us that vintage looks are
big this year–“especially those with embellishments, including gold and silver metallic,"
says Lym. "There are so many great looks for fall with animal prints, pinstripes
and textured fabrics like tweed and plaids. The colors this season include eggplant,
purple, gold, silver and chocolate brown.” |
 |
| Trendy items at Serendipity include
capelets (small ponchos or wraps) in fur or knits, and short sweaters and jackets.
“Fitted blazers are also new in both velvet and corduroy, plus chunky knit sweaters,”
adds Lym. |

| Also look for firty, fowing skirts,
round-toe shoes with heels, and ballet flats that are big on comfort. Lym carries
Ugg handbags from Australia and other leather bags with chain-link handles in both
small and large sizes. |

| Serendipity carries items from Theory,
Trina Turk, Nanette Lepore, BCBG, Free People and Velvet, and a terrifc selection
of jewelry and gift items. |
